De Regenboog provides assistance to Europeans stranded in Amsterdam

International network

De Regenboog Groep has had a large international network, with 180 organizations dedicated to social inclusion, health and participation. The Netherlands leads in terms of harm reduction while accessible community care and fieldwork is better coordinated in some of the other countries.

Moreover, De Regenboog Groep is the only organization that offers community care to Europeans who find themselves stranded in Amsterdam. Many of them take drugs, have mental health problems and are homeless. Most of them are not entitled to social benefits and have nowhere else to go for help. Some East Europeans can be persuaded to return to their own countries with some extra supervision.

Below are the projects of De Regenboog Groep within this theme. Through these projects and activities we want visitors, clients and participants actively participate in society

What can you do?

We need your help, become a volunteer! You can help by investing your time and energy, by working with citizens of Amsterdam with unusual stories. Or become a donor! Your money will be well spent on care for homeless people, aid for (former) addicts and people living in poverty or social isolation. You are always welcome to drop by and see how your money is spent. Or why not buy one of the products from our online Gift Shop? A present for someone you know, perhaps. It's all contributing towards a better society. And that's great, isn't it?
