People among themselves
We are there for people in Amsterdam and the surrounding area who are struggling and have nowhere else to turn. We mobilize the strength in society to support them to participate in society as independently as possible.
Every person deserves a dignified existence. Poverty, addiction, psychiatric problems or homelessness do not make a person less human. We believe in a city where there is room for everyone, on dry land instead of between shore and ship. A city in which we are involved in each other's lives and in which we strengthen each other.
How we are making Amsterdam more social
Commitment to people in (social) poverty is what binds our volunteers and staff. We encourage people to give form and substance to their own existence. Learn more about what we do through five themes below.
