There is a terrible war going on in Ukraine, millions of people have fled. Ukrainians are also seeking protection in Amsterdam. We are sheltering them in various shelters. With a team of staff and volunteers we are ready to assist the refugees during this difficult and emotional time.
What will you do?
We are looking for people who want to help out as buddies.
- The most important thing is that you will be a great support to the person you are paired with;
- You can help your buddy get to know Amsterdam better and do activities together;
- You will provide information and advice and help with requests for documents and other administrative matters;
- You can help your buddy by practicing the Dutch language;
Who are you?
- You speak Dutch, and English, Ukrainian or Russian
- You do not judge and do not discriminate;
- You are patient and a good listener;
- You are over 18 years old;
- You live in or near Weesp .
- You are available for 12 months, a few hours per week or every two weeks;

- A volunteer allowance of up to €9 per time to spend on an activity with your participant;

Training
De Regenboog Groep is affiliated with the Volunteer Academy. As a Regenboog volunteer, you have free access to the full training offerings.
Working Hours
Together with your buddy you determine the times. In the beginning it is desirable to meet with your buddy on a weekly basis, after a while this can also be per week or per 2 weeks.
