Financial buddy
The Regenboog deploys volunteers to provide practical, emotional and social support to people with financial problems. They coach them to improve their financial situation and regain control of money matters themselves.
Money Problems
Money problems cause stress. Bills or reminders in the mail every day, not letting your child go on that school outing or borrowing money from family again? Such considerations are a daily occurrence for people with financial problems. Usually these problems have multiple causes, such as clumsy choices in the past, bad luck, divorce or dismissal. One thing leads to another. You become paralyzed, so to speak, and you lose your grip on your money matters.
Financial coaching
The financial volunteers are there to help people who are clients of the Food Bank or are (going to be) guided to a debt relief program. But they also assist people with beginning money problems. The volunteers first help with organizing administration and making an overview of income and expenses. They discuss how outstanding bills can be paid, and if necessary, the volunteer helps to deliver documents to the debt relief agency.
When you no longer have financial stress, you can tackle other things in your life more easily. The Regenboog's volunteers make you feel supported, get a better grip on your life and they encourage you to participate in society independently again.
Become a volunteer?
